Nokia Unlock Code or Security Code Generator
Have you forgotten your security code or your PIN code in your Nokia handset? Can’t you unlock your phone for use or can’t you use some of the features of your phone because you don’t have your security code with you? Getting a Nokia unlock code should be your concern. Luckily, we have a code generator that you can use so you can get your security code or change it so you will never forget it in the future.
Every Nokia handset has a default code of 12345 or 1234. This security code is used to protect your data such as your contacts and photos. In case you haven’t changed your code yet and you were prompted to enter a security code, use 12345 or 1234 depending on which one works. But if you have changed it and suddenly forgot the number, simply follow the steps below since Nokia may not be able to recover your Nokia unlock code for you.
1. The Hard Reset
Before using this step, make sure you have a back up of the data in your phone as this may delete everything in your phone. If you cannot backup your data and you have very information in your phone, we suggest using other options. To perform the hard reset, use the following steps:
- Press call key+ asterisk+ the number 3 for classic style Nokia handsets
Press Spacebar + left shit+ back keys for Qwerty Nokia handsets- Press call key+ end key+ camera for Touch Nokia handsets
- Press Camera key+ Menu+ Volume down key for Symbian phones
Once you were able to press on to these keys, simultaneously press and hold the power button until the “Formatting” message appears. Release the keys and wait until the format process is done. Once the phone is formatted, your security code is reset back to 12345.
2. Remove battery for 30 minutes
In some Nokia phones, this trick may work. Switch off your phone, remove the battery and sim and wait for 30 minutes. After which, insert back the sim, battery and switch on your handset. Your security code is usually unlocked.
3. Using NSS
NSS or Nemesis Service Suite will give you your security code as it is. While it may not work with all Nokia phones, you may give it a try. First, download the NSS and install it in the drive D of your computer. Connect your Nokia handset using PC suite mode or OVI Suite. Open NSS suite and click scan for new devices. Click on the phone info button. Click the scan button and select the permanent memory. Lastly, click on the “read” button and it will read your phone’s memory.
In your computer again, browse the NSS installation directory and read on the D:NSSBackuppm. Right click on the YourPhone’sIMEI and open in notepad. On the 308 tag, you will see a number that may appear like this: 5=32323334380000000000. Remove all the 0s and 3s and you will get your security code. In this example, the security code is 22348 as bolded in the text.
These steps may generate your Nokia unlock code so give them a try.
