Lumia 520 by Nokia is one of the most exciting smartphones ever launched by Nokia. The smartphone is superseded by the Nokia Lumia 1020. Lumia 920 comes with a lot of amazing features such as optical image stabilization which will help you in taking blur free photographs, inbuilt wireless charging facility which will allow you to charge your device without using any cables and a lot more. The devices runs on Windows Phone 8 operating system. If you are thinking to buy Nokia Lumia 920 but want to find out everything about the device you can have a look at our review of Nokia Lumia 920.
Design and Display
The design of Nokia Lumia 920 is similar to the other Lumia devices. If you have seen Nokia Lumia 800 you won’t find any difference in the design of the device as it is the exact copy but with a bigger screen. The material which is used in the Nokia Lumia 920 is a polycarbonate plastic which is mounted behind the slightly curved screen. All the ports and slots in the device are kept flat to bring an overall nice look in the device. The quality of plastic used in the Nokia Lumia 920 is great which gives a premium feel to the device.
If Nokia had added the matte finish just like the one which was preset in Lumia 800 it would have been great, however the black model of the device comes with a glossy finish. The Nokia Lumia 920 weighs 185 grams which makes it heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a 4.5-inch display screen which delivers resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. Lumia 920 gives 332 ppi with the display you get in Nokia Lumia 920. With Multitouch support you can perform more than one operation on the device. The display is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection which will lead to less scratches on the device.
Hardware
Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a 1.5 Ghz dual core processor. The processor which you will find in the Lumia 920 is a QUALCOMM Snapdragon processor which is compiled with 1 GB Ram. You will get good performance on the device with this hardware and shouldn’t experience any lag issues. Coming to the GPU of Lumia 920 you will get Adreno 225 GPU in the device which will give your better gameplay graphics and support. There is only one storage option available in Nokia Lumia 920 which is 32 GB and there is no option to add external memory card to the device. We seriously think that Nokia should have provided a slot for adding external memory card to the device.
Camera
Coming to the camera of the device you will get an 8 Mega pixel rear camera. If you love to take pictures you should definitely try this smartphone as this is a great gadget for camera lovers. The rear shooter comes with dual LED flash which will help you in capturing great photos even in low light conditions. The Lens in the Lumia 920 is a Carl Zeiss optics which supports optical image stabilization. Optical image stabilization doesn’t allow capturing of shaky and blurry pictures and also helps you in getting nice pictures at night. You will also get auto focus with the rear camera.
The front camera of the Lumia 920 is a 1.3 Mega pixel one. The front camera is capable of recording videos in 720p HD and is great for capturing selfies.
Wireless Charging
One of the cool features of the Lumia 920 is the wireless charging. You can get a wireless charging plate by paying £50 which will allow you to charge your device without any hassle of wires. Simply put your phone on any of the wireless charging plates in any direction or alignment and your device will start charging. The charging via wireless plate will take a little more time as compared to the charging cable.
