The legendary Nokia which has been resurrected by the finish tech giant HMD Global has again launched a new variant of Nokia 6. The Nokia 6 was originally unveiled in the January 2017 last year and was a huge hit in the markets. HMD Global has already sold more than a million smartphones after its revival of the Nokia brand. The device is already released in China before.
Ajay Mehta, the Vice President of HMD Global in India said that they are taking the Nokia 6 to the next stage by upgrading the device following its success in the durability end also in the design section based on the feedback received from the fans around the world.
On the design end Nokia followed a typical standard design compared to their other middle end Android devices. Nokia 6 flaunts a metal body with 6000 aluminum series and sports a big 5.5 inch display. The display is Full HD IPS display which supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 403 pixels per inch. It also has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass. The dimensions of the device read 154 x 75.8 x 7.85 mm.
Nokia 6 display also supports the readability features in the sunlight with the brightness of 450 nits. The new device weight 169 grams.
Nokia 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chip with the Adreno 505 GPU. It sports an Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. Nokia 6 sports a front-mounted finger print sensor for quick unlocking.
Nokia 6 features a powerful 16 Megapixel camera with dual tone flash. The selfie camera features an 8 MP lens. Both cameras have an aperture of f/2.0 and 84 degree FOV (field of view) with autofocus.
The camera supports HDR, panorama, Geo-tagging and touch focus and it can record at 1080p with 30 frames per second.
Storage and Battery
The new variant of the device sports 4 GB of RAM with an internal storage of 64 GB. The storage can be extended to the level of 128 GB through with microSD Card.
Nokia 6 gets its energy from the 3000 mAh battery with the fast charging feature. The battery is promised to give a 18h running time over 3G with Talk time and 768 h in standby mode.
Unlike other smartphones in the same range in the market Nokia 6 does stick with the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The audio end looks promising with dual speakers with the external support of Dolby Atmos smart amplifier.
Nokia 6 runs on the Android 7.1.1 i.e. Nougat and will also be upgraded to Android Oreo. Nokia 6 supports 4G and 3G under the connectivity section with Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802, and NFC for file transfer and GPS for the navigation. It also supports the On the Go (OTG) for quick file transfer from the device.
Availability and Price
Nokia 6 is available to buy from Flipkart. It is yet uncertain about the availability of the device in offline markets. The device is price at 16,999 INR in India.
Flipkart is also running an offer in the Nokia 6 which allows on the discount up to 16000 INR on the exchange of the smartphones. Also user can have a discount of 5% if they use Axis Bank Credit Cards while purchasing the device. The device is available with the EMI options with no-cost starting from 825 INR per month.
